Location: Arcata, CA 95518
Shift: 7am - 7:30pm 36 hrs./week guaranteed.
Duration: 13 weeks
CA – RN - Med/Surg Charge Nurse, days
Active CA license, BLS, and ACLS required.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Surgical Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment. As a member of the medical surgical unit, you will work collaboratively with physicians, other nurses, and healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care on the medical surgical unit
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and record patient vital signs and symptoms
- Collaborate with members of the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and their families about their condition and treatment options
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during difficult times
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license in the state of California
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical surgical setting
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a high-pressure environment
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
