Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our psychiatric team. The RN-Psychiatric will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients with mental health issues in a clinical setting. This role involves assessing and diagnosing patients, creating care plans, administering medications, and supporting patients through their treatment journey.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct assessments of patients' mental health needs
- Develop and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications and monitor their effectiveness
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions and treatment options
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in psychiatric nursing
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of current psychiatric treatments and medications
