Location: 400 East Polk St Washington, IA 52353
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours
Shift: Days 7:45am-5:15pm M-F
Pay: $28-30/hr on (40 hours)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team in Mississippi. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing clinical and administrative support in a medical office setting. The CMA will work closely with healthcare providers to ensure quality patient care and efficient operations.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and treatments
2. Record patient information and maintain medical records
3. Perform basic laboratory tests and procedures
4. Administer medications under the supervision of a healthcare provider
5. Schedule appointments and coordinate patient referrals
6. Manage inventory of medical supplies and equipment
7. Provide patient education and support
8. Adhere to all state and federal regulations related to healthcare
Qualifications and Skills:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a medical office setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Basic computer skills
