Job Title: Emergency Department Registered Nurse - MS - MFS
Location: 15 hospital Drive York, ME 03909
Shift: Variable
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours
Pay: $60-62 for (36 hours)
Job Summary: As an Emergency Department RN in the Medical, Surgical, and Fast Track areas, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will assess, triage, and treat patients of all ages who present with a wide range of medical conditions and emergencies.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Perform assessments, administer medications, and provide treatments according to established protocols.
2. Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
3. Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions and adjust care as needed.
4. Respond to emergencies and provide life-saving interventions as necessary.
5. Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic health record.
6. Educate patients and families on their conditions and treatment plans.
7. Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
8. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing education.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license in the state of practice.
2. Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency department setting.
4. BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
5. Strong critical thinking and communication skills.
6. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.
7. Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
8. Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.
