Shift: Days 7am - 7pm
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours
Pay: $30-34/hr for 36 hours
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Long Term Care team at the VA Medical Center in Mississippi. The LPN will be responsible for providing direct patient care, administering medications, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure the highest quality of care for our veteran patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide nursing care to patients in a long-term care setting
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Monitor patient status and report any changes to the attending physician
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and their families on health maintenance and disease prevention
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Adhere to all nursing standards and regulations
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current LPN license in the state of Mississippi
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in long-term care
- BLS certification
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate and patient-centered care approach
