Job Title: Surgical Technologist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated surgical technologist to join our medical team. The primary responsibility of the surgical technologist is to assist surgeons during surgical procedures by preparing the operating room, maintaining a sterile field, and handing instruments and supplies to the surgeon. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures
2. Set up sterile surgical instruments and equipment
3. Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons during procedures
4. Assist with patient positioning and prepping
5. Maintain a sterile field throughout the surgical procedure
6. Clean and sterilize equipment after procedures
7. Monitor and track surgical supplies and equipment
8. Assist in transporting patients to and from the operating room
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Completion of an accredited surgical technology program
2. Certification as a surgical technologist (CST)
3. Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and techniques
4. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
5. Excellent organizational and communication skills
6. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions
7. Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects
8. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
