Job Title: Registered Nurse Operating Room - Veterinary Surgical Specialist
Delivery of age specific, direct patient care. The Registered Nurse (RN) provides nursing care to patients following the Scope and Standards of Nursing Practice, within the framework of the Department of Nursing, and in conjunction with Specialty-Specific Standards of Patient Care. The RN utilizes the Nursing Process to make nursing judgments and assumes responsibilities for nursing care and documentation to include delegation of work to other levels of employees. Practice meets compliance with all applicable State and Federal laws, regulations, and policies governing the provision of health care.
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Veterinary Surgical Specialist in the Operating Room. The ideal candidate will assist the veterinary surgical team in providing high-quality care to animals undergoing surgical procedures. This role requires excellent teamwork, communication, and attention to detail.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist with pre-operative preparation of animals undergoing surgery
2. Monitor patients during surgery and provide support to the surgical team
3. Administer medications and anesthesia as directed by the veterinarian
4. Maintain a clean and sterile surgical environment
5. Assist with post-operative care and monitoring of patients
6. Communicate with clients regarding surgical procedures and post-operative care instructions
7. Collaborate with veterinary technicians and other team members to ensure a high standard of care
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Registered Nurse license in the state of [Location]
