Job Summary:
Location- Arcata, CA 95518
Shift- 12 hrs. day and/or night shifts
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in California. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing quality care to expectant mothers and newborns during the labor and delivery process.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Monitor the progress of labor and provide support to mothers in pain management techniques
- Assist in the delivery of newborns and provide immediate care for both mother and baby
- Administer medications and IV fluids as needed
- Collaborate with obstetricians and other healthcare providers to ensure the best possible outcome for mother and baby
- Educate mothers on postpartum care and newborn care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license in the state of California
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and delivery
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of labor and delivery procedures and protocols
