Job Title: LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) - IA - Social Services
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated LPN to join our team in providing quality healthcare services in a social services setting in Iowa. The LPN will work closely with other healthcare professionals to deliver patient care and support in a holistic manner.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
2. Monitor and assess patient health status
3. Assist patients with activities of daily living
4. Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
5. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop care plans
6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
7. Follow infection control policies and procedures
8. Assist in crisis intervention and emergency situations
9. Participate in ongoing training and professional development
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid LPN license in Iowa
2. Previous experience in a social services or healthcare setting preferred
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
4. Ability to work effectively in a team environment
5. Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
6. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
7. Ability to demonstrate empathy and compassion towards patients
8. Basic computer skills
9. CPR certification
10. Ability to work flexible hours as needed
