JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
As a Sterile Processing Tech in Colorado Springs, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sterility of medical equipment and instruments used in healthcare facilities. You will play a critical role in preventing infections and maintaining a safe environment for patients and staff.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Clean, decontaminate, sterilize, and package medical equipment and instruments
- Follow strict protocols and guidelines to ensure proper sterilization techniques
- Maintain accurate records of equipment processing and sterilization
- Collaborate with healthcare personnel to ensure timely availability of sterile supplies
- Monitor and maintain equipment sterilization machines
- Adhere to safety and infection control policies
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (CSPDT) or Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) preferred
- Knowledge of sterilization techniques and equipment
- Attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment
