Job Title: RN-Labor & Delivery (L&D)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in Labor & Delivery (L&D) to join our team. The RN-Labor & Delivery will be responsible for providing care to pregnant women during the final stages of pregnancy and throughout labor.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Monitor the health of pregnant women and their babies during labor and delivery
2. Administer medication and assist with pain management
3. Assist with the delivery of babies, including providing support and guidance to the mother
4. Evaluate postpartum care needs and provide education to new mothers on infant care
5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for mothers and babies
6. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
7. Provide emotional support to mothers and their families throughout the birthing process
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery (L&D)
3. BSN or ADN degree from an accredited nursing program
4. BLS and ACLS certification
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
6. Ability to remain calm and focused in stressful situations
7. Attention to detail and organizational skills
