Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) to join our team in providing high-quality patient care in a medical-surgical unit. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of medical-surgical procedures and be able to collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Monitor and assess patients' medical conditions and provide appropriate nursing care.
2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
3. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
4. Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatments, and follow-up care.
5. Document patient data accurately and timely in electronic medical records.
6. Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients.
7. Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
8. Respond to emergencies and provide immediate interventions as needed.
9. Adhere to healthcare regulations and policies to ensure patient safety and confidentiality.
10. Participate in ongoing education and professional development to enhance nursing skills.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Current LPN license in the state of practice.
2. Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical-surgical setting.
3. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
5. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
6. Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records.
7. BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
8. Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect patient privacy.
9. Reliable and dependable work ethic.
10. Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
