Job Title: Cytologist
Location: Binghamton, NY
Shift: 8am days 40 Hours Guaranteed
Day: 13 Weeks
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cytologist to join our team. The Cytologist will be responsible for examining and analyzing cell samples under a microscope to detect abnormalities and diseases. The successful candidate will need to have a keen eye for detail and be able to accurately interpret test results.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Prepare and examine cell samples for abnormalities or signs of disease
2. Perform microscopic examination of cell samples to identify abnormalities
3. Analyze test results and prepare detailed reports for medical professionals
4. Interpret findings and provide recommendations for further testing or treatment
5. Maintain accurate records of all test results and patient information
6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment
7. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of test results
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor's degree in Cytotechnology or related field
2. Certification as a Cytotechnologist
3. ACTIVE NY License
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
6. Proficiency in using microscopy and other laboratory equipment
7. Knowledge of medical terminology and pathology
8. Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
