Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical (RN M/S) will be responsible for providing care to patients on the medical/surgical unit. The role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. The RN M/S will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assess patients' health status and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor patients' vital signs and provide necessary interventions
- Educate patients and their families about their conditions and treatments
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive care
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to regulatory standards
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical/surgical nursing
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- BSN or MSN preferred
