Job Title: Obstetrics RN
Location: Tuba City, AZ
Shift: Flexible to days/eve/nights
Duration: 6 weeks
Job Summary:
A Obstetrics RN is responsible for providing care to pregnant women, assisting in labor and delivery, and caring for newborns during the postpartum period. They work closely with obstetricians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the health and well-being of both mother and baby.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Conducting assessments of pregnant women and monitoring their progress throughout pregnancy
2. Assisting with labor and delivery, including monitoring fetal heart rates and administering medications as needed
3. Providing education and support to expectant mothers regarding prenatal care, labor and delivery, and postpartum care
4. Caring for newborns after delivery, including monitoring vital signs and providing breastfeeding support
5. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans for expectant mothers and newborns
6. Documenting patient care in medical records and maintaining accurate records of treatments and medications administered
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Registered Nurse (RN) license
2. Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
3. Certification in Obstetrics Nursing (RN-OB) preferred
4. Previous experience in labor and delivery or obstetrics nursing
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
6. Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
