Job Title: Registered Nurse - PCU & Med/Surg
location: Abingdon, VA
Shift: Nights 7pm - 7am (48 guaranteed)
Duration: 13 weeks
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Medical/Surgical department. The ideal candidate will provide compassionate and high-quality care to patients in need of acute and critical care services.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Monitor and assess patients' conditions, administering medications and treatments as needed
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding medical conditions and treatment options
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation
- Assist with procedures and treatments as necessary
- Respond to emergencies and provide immediate care as required
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and compliance with regulatory standards
Qualifications and Skills:
- Active RN license in the state of practice
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a PCU or Med/Surg setting
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with a diverse healthcare team
