Job Title: Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: San Angelo, TX
Shift: to be discussed, 36 hours guaranteed
Duration 13 weeks
Job Summary:
The Med/Surg RN is responsible for providing high quality nursing care to patients in a medical-surgical setting. They assess patient conditions, administer medications, provide wound care, monitor vital signs, and collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assessing and documenting patient conditions
- Administering medications and treatments
- Monitoring and recording vital signs
- Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare team members
- Educating patients and their families about their conditions and care plans
- Providing emotional support and comfort to patients
- Responding to medical emergencies
- Maintaining accurate medical records
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- BLS and ACLS certification
