Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various laboratory tests on patient samples to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform laboratory tests on patient samples, including blood tests, urine tests, and tissue samples.
- Analyze test results and prepare reports for medical professionals.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure it is in good working condition.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results.
- Assist in training and supervising other laboratory staff.
- Keep detailed records of test results and patient information.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field for Medical Technologist (MT); Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology for Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT).
- Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) by a recognized accrediting agency.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- ASCP, HEW or NCA certification required.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
