Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technician/Medical Technologist
Location: Yuma, CO
Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Nights 36hr guaranteed
Duration: 13 weeks
Job Summary:
The Medical Laboratory Technician/Medical Technologist is responsible for conducting laboratory tests and analyses to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. They work under the supervision of a medical technologist or pathologist to perform a variety of laboratory tests including blood counts, toxicology screenings, and microbiological analyses.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct routine and complex laboratory tests and analyses
- Perform quality control checks on equipment and laboratory procedures
- Record and interpret test results accurately
- Assist in the development and implementation of new laboratory procedures
- Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies
- Communicate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate and timely test results
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Technologist (MT)
