Job Title: RN Operating Room
Location: Arlington, WA
Shift: 10 hour shifts variable start
Duration: 13 weeks
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our operating room team. The RN Operating Room will be responsible for providing patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, critical thinking skills, and attention to detail to ensure the safety and well-being of patients in the operating room.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assessing patient's condition before, during, and after surgery.
2. Collaborating with the surgical team to create and implement a plan of care.
3. Monitoring patients' vital signs and administering medications as needed.
4. Assisting surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, suturing wounds, and maintaining a sterile field.
5. Providing emotional support to patients and their families before and after surgery.
6. Documenting all aspects of patient care in medical records.
7. Adhering to safety protocols and infection control procedures in the operating room.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Active RN license in the state of practice.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in an operating room setting.
3. BLS and ACLS certification.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
6. Attention to detail and strong critical thinking skills.
7. Ability to multitask and prioritize patient care effectively.
