Job Summary:
The Tele Med/Surg RN is responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in a telemedicine setting, focusing on medical and surgical patients. This role involves assessing patient conditions, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and collaborating with healthcare providers to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Conduct telehealth assessments and consultations with patients to determine their healthcare needs.
2. Monitor and interpret patient vital signs and symptoms, reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
3. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
4. Educate patients and their families on medical conditions, treatments, and self-care techniques.
5. Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and implement comprehensive care plans for patients.
6. Document patient care activities and outcomes accurately and timely.
7. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring proper equipment functioning.
8. Adhere to all healthcare policies, procedures, and regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license in the state of practice.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical/surgical nursing.
3. Certification in telemedicine or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe.
4. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
6. Proficiency in electronic health record systems.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
