Job Title: Surgical Technologist
Location: Scottsbluff, NE
Shift: Varied Shift - 4x10 (40 guaranteed)
Duration: 13 Weeks
Job Summary:
As a Surgical Technologist, you will be responsible for assisting surgeons during surgical procedures. You will prepare the operating room, sterilize and arrange surgical instruments, and ensure that the surgical environment is safe and sterile. Your attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure will be crucial in ensuring the success of surgeries.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare the operating room for surgery by setting up surgical instruments and equipment
- Sterilize and maintain surgical instruments and equipment
- Assist the surgical team during procedures by handing instruments to surgeons, holding retractors, and anticipating their needs
- Ensure the surgical environment is sterile and safe for patients
- Monitor patients' vital signs during surgery
- Assist with cleaning and dressing wounds post-surgery
- Document all procedures accurately in patient records
Qualifications and Skills:
- Certification or diploma in surgical technology
- Previous experience working in a surgical setting
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and instruments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
