Job Title: Registered Nurse Operating Room (RN OR)
Location: Gardner, MA
Shift: 40 Hours, 4 ten (10) hour shifts
Duration: 13 Weeks
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse Operating Room (RN OR) is responsible for providing nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in the operating room. The RN OR works closely with the surgical team to ensure the safety and well-being of the patient before, during, and after surgery.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assessing patients before surgery and planning care
2. Collaborating with the surgical team to ensure a safe and efficient surgical procedure
3. Monitoring the patient's vital signs during surgery
4. Administering medications as needed
5. Providing post-operative care and monitoring for complications
6. Educating patients and their families on post-operative care instructions
7. Maintaining sterile techniques in the operating room
8. Documenting patient care and maintaining accurate medical records
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license
2. Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
3. At least 2 years of experience in the operating room
4. BLS and ACLS certification
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
7. Attention to detail and critical thinking skills
