Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team. The Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with breathing disorders, including asthma, emphysema, and other respiratory conditions. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conducting patient assessments to determine respiratory conditions
- Administering treatments, such as oxygen therapy and bronchodilators
- Monitoring and recording patient progress
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans
- Educating patients on managing their respiratory conditions
- Responding to emergency situations, such as code blue events
- Keeping accurate and up-to-date patient records
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy (Bachelor's degree preferred)
- Certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
- State licensure as a Respiratory Therapist
- CPR certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
