Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Cardiovascular Catheterization Laboratory (CATH LAB) team. The RN CATH LAB will be responsible for assisting cardiologists in performing diagnostic and interventional procedures on patients with heart conditions. This role requires strong critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare patients for cardiac catheterization procedures
- Monitor patients during procedures and assist with any needed interventions
- Administer medications and intravenous fluids as directed by the cardiologist
- Assist with the insertion and removal of catheters
- Document patient information and procedure details accurately
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the CATH LAB
- Stay current on advancements in cardiovascular care and technology
Qualifications and Skills:
- Active RN license in the state of practice
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiac catheterization lab
- Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills
