Job Title: RN Labor & Delivery
Location: Shenandoah, IA
Shift: Nightshift (7pm - 7am)
Duration: 13 weeks
Job Summary:
As an RN in Labor & Delivery, you will be responsible for providing expert care to expectant mothers and their newborns throughout the labor and delivery process. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure a safe and comfortable experience for patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Monitor patients during labor and delivery
- Administer medications and assist with pain management techniques
- Perform assessments to ensure the health and well-being of both mother and baby
- Assist with breastfeeding and newborn care
- Educate patients on prenatal care, childbirth, and postpartum care
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
Qualifications and Skills:
- Must be a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of employment
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
- Previous experience in Labor & Delivery or obstetrics preferred
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and make quick decisions
- Attention to detail and strong critical thinking skills
