Job Title: Registered Nurse, Endoscopy
Location: Kingsport, TN
Shift: Days 06:30am - 05:00pm 36 hours guaranteed
Duration: 13 Weeks
Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse specializing in Endoscopy, you will be responsible for providing care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the safe and effective delivery of care during these procedures.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Prepare patients for endoscopic procedures by assessing their medical history and current condition.
2. Administer medications as needed and monitor patients throughout the procedure.
3. Assist the physician during endoscopic procedures and provide patient education before and after the procedure.
4. Document all aspects of patient care accurately and timely in patient records.
5. Maintain a clean and safe environment in the endoscopy unit.
6. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license in the state of practice.
2. BLS certification.
3. Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in endoscopy or a related field.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
6. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
