Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will work closely with Occupational Therapists to provide hands-on therapy to patients with physical, mental, or developmental impairments. As a COTA, you will play a crucial role in helping patients regain their independence and improve their overall quality of life.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist Occupational Therapists in developing and implementing treatment plans for patients
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Conduct therapeutic activities to improve patients' motor skills, coordination, and functional abilities
- Monitor and document patients' progress during therapy sessions
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic activities and techniques for at-home practice
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Valid COTA certification and state licensure
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to therapy
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
