Job Summary:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will provide essential care and support to patients in healthcare facilities under the supervision of licensed nurses. Your primary role will be to assist patients with daily tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and eating, while also ensuring their comfort and safety.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assisting patients with daily activities, including bathing, grooming, and toileting.
2. Monitoring patient vital signs and reporting any changes to the nursing staff.
3. Helping patients with mobility and transferring to and from bed or wheelchair.
4. Providing emotional support and companionship to patients.
5. Keeping patients' rooms clean and organized.
6. Assisting with feeding and monitoring food and liquid intake.
7. Documenting patient interactions and observations accurately.
8. Following all safety and infection control procedures.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Completion of a state-approved CNA training program.
3. Current CNA certification.
4. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work well in a team environment.
6. Compassionate and patient demeanor.
7. Physical stamina to assist patients with lifting and moving.
8. Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
9. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
10. Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
