Job Title: RN CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room)
Location: Abilene, TX
Shift: Mon - Fri 0630 -1500
Duration: 13 Weeks
Job Summary:
As an RN CVOR, you will be responsible for providing nursing care to patients undergoing cardiovascular surgery in the operating room. You will assist the surgical team before, during, and after procedures, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients throughout the surgical process.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Preparing the operating room and equipment for surgery
- Assisting with patient positioning and draping
- Monitoring patients during surgery and providing necessary interventions
- Collaborating with the surgical team to ensure optimal outcomes for patients
- Administering medications and anesthesia as needed
- Documenting patient care and outcomes
- Providing post-operative care and education to patients and their families
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current RN license in the state of practice
- Certification in perioperative nursing (CNOR) preferred
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiovascular operating room setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
- Attention to detail and critical thinking skills
