Job Title: Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical (RN M/S)
Shift: Nights 7pm - 7am
Location: Elizabethton, TN
Duration: 13 Weeks
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse in the Medical/Surgical unit provides comprehensive nursing care to patients with various medical conditions and surgical needs. They work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitoring patients' vital signs and symptoms, and reporting any changes to the medical team
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to coordinate and manage patient care
- Educating patients and their families about their conditions and treatments
- Ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a medical/surgical setting
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
