Job Title: Cath Lab Technologist
Location: Chico, CA
Shift: Day, 8hr, 0630 or 0830
Duration: 13 weeks
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cath Lab Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. The primary responsibility of the Cath Lab Technologist is to assist with invasive cardiac procedures and provide support to the medical team during catheterization procedures. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology, as well as proficiency in operating imaging equipment and other specialized tools.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assisting cardiologists and other medical professionals during cardiac procedures
- Operating and maintaining imaging equipment such as fluoroscopy machines and ultrasound devices
- Monitoring patients before, during, and after procedures to ensure their safety and comfort
- Preparing and sterilizing equipment for procedures
- Maintaining accurate patient records and documenting procedures performed
- Collaborating with the medical team to provide high-quality patient care
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Cardiovascular Technology or a related field
- Certified Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiovascular Technologist (RCVT) credential
- Prior experience working in a catheterization laboratory setting
- Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
