Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)

Job Summary:
The Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) will be responsible for providing nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in the operating room. This includes assessing patient needs, planning and implementing patient care, and evaluating patient outcomes. The OR RN will collaborate with the surgical team to ensure the safety and well-being of all patients during surgery.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assessing and monitoring patients before, during, and after surgery
2. Administering medications and anesthesia as needed
3. Assisting the surgical team during procedures
4. Educating patients and their families about post-operative care
5. Documenting all patient care activities in medical records
6. Maintaining a sterile operating room environment
7. Providing emotional support to patients and their families
8. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license
2. BLS and ACLS certification
3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in surgical nursing
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
6. Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
7. Ability to multitask and prioritize patient care
8. Knowledge of surgical procedures and equipment
