Job Title: Respiratory Therapist
location: Cleveland, OH
Shift: Night 7:00pm-7:30am
Days: 13 weeks
Job Summary:
The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing care to patients with respiratory issues by assessing, treating, and monitoring their breathing problems. They work closely with physicians to develop treatment plans and educate patients on managing their conditions.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conducting patient assessments to determine respiratory issues
- Administering oxygen therapy and other respiratory treatments
- Monitoring and adjusting ventilator settings for patients on life support
- Educating patients on proper use of inhalers and other respiratory devices
- Collaborating with healthcare team members to develop care plans
- Performing diagnostic tests to evaluate lung function
- Responding to emergency situations where immediate respiratory intervention is needed
- Keeping accurate records of patient treatments and progress
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
