Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Shift: M-F
Duration: 13 Weeks
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. The COTA will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to provide rehabilitation services to patients with physical, mental, or emotional challenges. The COTA will assist in developing treatment plans, implementing therapeutic exercises, and monitoring progress towards goals.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Collaborate with Occupational Therapist to evaluate patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and activities to improve mobility, motor skills, and coordination
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for carrying out therapeutic exercises at home
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all equipment is in proper working order
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current certification as a COTA
- Previous experience working in a healthcare setting preferred
- Knowledge of occupational therapy principles and techniques
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
