Shift: 12 hr - NIGHTS
Duration: 13 weeks
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team. The Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with breathing disorders, providing respiratory care and treatments, and educating patients on proper breathing techniques.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conducting patient assessments to determine the appropriate respiratory care plan
- Administering respiratory treatments and therapies, such as oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and chest physiotherapy
- Monitoring and evaluating patient response to treatments and making adjustments as needed
- Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans
- Educating patients and their families on respiratory care techniques, medications, and equipment usage
- Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation
- Responding to emergencies and providing critical care as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy
- Active certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Current state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing patient needs
