Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing care and treatment for patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to assess, diagnose, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory conditions.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Conduct thorough assessments of patients with respiratory disorders.
2. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
3. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
4. Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
5. Educate patients and their families on respiratory care techniques.
6. Perform diagnostic tests to evaluate lung function.
7. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for patients.
8. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
9. Stay current on advancements in respiratory therapy practices and technology.
10. Ensure adherence to all regulatory and safety guidelines.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy (Bachelor's degree preferred).
2. Licensed Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice.
3. Certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
5. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
6. Attention to detail and compassion for patients.
7. Knowledge of respiratory therapy equipment and procedures.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
