Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
Location: Tacoma, WA

Job Summary:

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) works under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to provide rehabilitative services to patients. PTAs assist with exercises, modalities, and other treatment techniques to help improve patients' mobility and overall physical function.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Assist with implementing treatment plans as directed by the physical therapist.

2. Provide therapeutic exercises and activities to improve patients' strength, flexibility, and coordination.

3. Use modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation to help manage pain and improve function.

4. Educate patients on proper body mechanics and exercises to support their treatment goals.

5. Monitor and document patient progress during treatment sessions.

6. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members.

7. Adhere to all legal and ethical standards set forth by regulatory bodies.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Associate's degree from an accredited physical therapy assistant program.

2. Current state licensure as a physical therapist assistant.

3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

4. Ability to work effectively in a team setting.

5. Knowledge of physical therapy techniques and protocols.

6. CPR certification.

7. Physical stamina and dexterity to assist patients with mobility and exercises.
