Job Title: Registered Nurse Operating Room (RN OR)
Location: Wenatchee, WA
Shift: Day/Evening 12hr shifts
Duration: 13 Weeks
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse Operating Room (RN OR) provides direct patient care and assists with surgical procedures in the operating room. They are responsible for monitoring patient vital signs, administering medications, and collaborating with the surgical team to ensure the best possible outcome for the patient.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist with surgical procedures in the operating room
2. Monitor patient vital signs before, during, and after surgery
3. Administer medications as ordered by the surgeon
4. Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and comfort
5. Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols
6. Educate patients and families on post-operative care and recovery
7. Document all patient care activities accurately and timely
8. Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current on best practices in perioperative nursing
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Active RN license in the state of practice
2. BLS certification required, ACLS certification preferred
3. At least 2 years of experience in perioperative nursing
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
5. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
6. Attention to detail and strong critical thinking skills
7. Ability to prioritize and multitask
8. Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
