Job Title: Registered Nurse - Med Surg
Location: Laconia, NH
Shift: Night Shift
Duration: 13 weeks
Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse in the Med Surg unit, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic setting. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients
2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
3. Monitor patient vital signs and condition, and report any changes to the healthcare team
4. Educate patients and their families on their diagnosis, treatment plan, and self-care techniques
5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate and manage patient care effectively
6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation
7. Follow hospital policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and compliance with regulatory standards
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- BLS certification
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Med Surg setting
- Strong clinical assessment skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
