Job Title: Registered Nurse - Open Heart

Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse specializing in Open Heart procedures, you will play a crucial role in caring for patients undergoing cardiac surgeries. You will be responsible for providing skilled nursing care and support to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures, while collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assessing and monitoring patients before, during, and after cardiac surgeries
2. Administering medications and managing post-operative pain
3. Performing interventions as necessary to stabilize patients
4. Educating patients and their families on post-operative care and recovery
5. Assisting in the coordination of care with other healthcare providers
6. Maintaining accurate medical records and documentation
7. Adhering to all hospital policies and procedures related to patient care
8. Participating in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education opportunities
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license in the state of practice
2. BLS and ACLS certification
3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in critical care or cardiac nursing
4. Strong communication and teamwork skills
5. Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations
6. Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving abilities
7. Knowledge of cardiac medications and procedures
8. Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
