Job Title: RN - Skilled Nursing
Job Summary:
As an RN in Skilled Nursing, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients in a skilled nursing facility. You will work closely with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure the best possible outcomes for those under your care.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients' health needs
2. Developing and implementing individualized care plans
3. Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
4. Monitoring and documenting patient progress
5. Collaborating with healthcare providers to coordinate patient care
6. Educating patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention
7. Providing emotional support and counseling to patients and families
8. Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and protocols
9. Participating in quality improvement initiatives
10. Supervising and delegating tasks to nursing assistants and other support staff
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license in the state of practice
2. Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a skilled nursing facility
3. BLS certification
4. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
6. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
7. Knowledge of electronic health record systems
8. Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced work environment
