Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (RN ER)
Location: Peterborough, NH
Shift: 12hr varied shifts as needed (36 guaranteed)
Duration: 13 weeks
Job Summary: The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room provides direct and indirect patient care in the Emergency Department setting. They are responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in collaboration with healthcare team members.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Triages patients based on acuity and urgency of care.
2. Administers medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
3. Monitors patient vital signs and reports any changes to the healthcare team.
4. Provides patient education and emotional support to patients and their families.
5. Assists in emergency procedures and interventions as needed.
6. Maintains accurate and complete medical records.
7. Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
8. Adheres to hospital policies and procedures regarding patient care and safety.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license in the state of practice.
2. BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) PALS (AHA) TNCC certification.
3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Room setting.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations with calmness.
6. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
7. Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
8. Proficiency in electronic medical records systems.
9. Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
