Job Title: RN - Psychiatric
Location: Coos Bay, OR
Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Nights 36hr guaranteed
Duration: 13 Weeks
Job Summary:
As a Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN), you will be responsible for providing specialized nursing care to patients with mental health disorders. You will work closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to create individualized treatment plans and provide emotional support to patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct assessments of patients' mental health status
- Develop and implement care plans based on patients' needs
- Administer medications and monitor for side effects
- Provide therapeutic interventions and crisis intervention as needed
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care
- Educate patients and their families about mental health disorders and treatment options
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Participate in treatment team meetings and clinical supervision
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license
- CPI
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
- Experience working in a psychiatric setting
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
