Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery
Location: Bellefontaine, OH
Shift: :00 PM - 7:30 AM Nights 36hr guaranteed
Duration: 13 Weeks
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery will provide comprehensive nursing care to women and their newborns during the labor and delivery process. This includes monitoring vital signs, administering medication, assisting with pain management, and providing education and support to new mothers.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Monitor fetal heart rates and contractions during labor
- Assist with the delivery of babies, including providing support to mothers during the birthing process
- Administer medication and anesthesia as needed
- Provide postpartum care to mothers and newborns
- Educate mothers on breastfeeding techniques and newborn care
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) preferred
- Experience in labor and delivery or obstetrics
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
- BLS and ACLS certification
