Location: Saranac Lake, NY
Shift: 8:00 a to 4:30 p or 3:30 p - 12 am 40hr guaranteed
Duration: 13 Weeks
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Ultrasound Technologist to join our medical team. As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will perform various ultrasound procedures to help diagnose and treat patients. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and high-quality imaging services.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Perform ultrasound examinations on patients in various settings, including hospitals, medical clinics, and imaging centers.
2. Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment to ensure proper functioning and image quality.
3. Prepare patients for procedures and explain the process to them to alleviate any concerns or anxiety.
4. Review and analyze ultrasound images to ensure accuracy and provide timely results to healthcare providers.
5. Maintain patient records and information in compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
6. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient care outcomes.
7. Stay current on advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques through continuing education and professional development.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree in Ultrasound Technology or a related field.
2. Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification preferred.
3. Experience working as an Ultrasound Technologist in a healthcare setting.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare providers.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
6. Attention to detail and the ability to maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
