Job Summary:
The RN Float, Inpatient Float is responsible for providing quality patient care across various units within the hospital setting. This position requires flexibility and adaptability to work in different departments as needed, ensuring patients receive the highest level of care.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assessing patient health and providing nursing care according to established protocols
- Collaborating with healthcare team members to create and implement care plans
- Monitoring and responding to changes in patient condition
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
- Educating patients and their families on health management and disease prevention
- Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records
- Adhering to hospital policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and confidentiality
- Keeping abreast of new developments in nursing practices and technology
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current RN license in the state of practice
- BLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute care setting
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility and adaptability to work across different units
