Job Title: Wound Care Specialist

shift: Days 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (40 guaranteed)
Duration: 13 weeks
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Wound Care Specialist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive wound care services to patients, assessing and treating various types of wounds, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized treatment plans.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' wounds and medical histories
- Develop and implement treatment plans for acute and chronic wounds
- Monitor and evaluate patients' progress and make adjustments to treatment plans as necessary
- Educate patients and caregivers on wound care best practices and proper wound dressing techniques
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation
- Stay current on the latest advancements in wound care treatments and technologies
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field
- RN license and certification as a Wound Care Specialist (CWCA, CWCN, or similar)
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in wound care
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
