Job Title: Registered Nurse - ER/Medical Surgical
Location: North Adams, MA
Shift: 9a-9.30p, Days (36 guaranteed)
Duration: 13 weeks
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room/Medical Surgical unit provides compassionate and quality care to patients requiring immediate medical attention or those recovering from surgical procedures. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Triages and assesses patients in the ER, identifying medical needs and prioritizing care
- Administers medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians
- Monitors and documents patient vital signs and responses to treatment
- Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Provides education to patients and families on disease management and preventive care
- Maintains a safe and clean environment for patients and staff
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education opportunities
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- BLS(AHA) and ACLS(AHA) certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ER or Medical Surgical setting
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems
