Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN), ICU
Location: Bellefontaine, OH
Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM 36 hours guaranteed
Duration: 13 weeks
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is responsible for providing specialized care to critically ill patients. They will monitor patients, administer medications, and collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients in critical condition.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assessing and monitoring patients' conditions in the ICU
2. Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
3. Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to create individualized care plans
4. Performing procedures such as intubation, ventilator management, and monitoring of vital signs
5. Providing emotional support to patients and their families during difficult times
6. Documenting patient care and maintaining accurate medical records
7. Participating in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on best practices in critical care nursing
8. Adhering to all healthcare regulations and standards of practice
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Active RN license in the state of practice
2. Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS)
3. Previous experience in critical care nursing preferred
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
5. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
6. Attention to detail and excellent critical thinking skills
7. Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure
8. Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
